Jeimy is in her final year as a criminal justice and psychology major at Carlow University. She is an avid member of several social justice movements seeking to promote youth development among Latino youth in the Pittsburgh area. 


Dana Gold

Chief Operating Officer, Jewish Family & Children's Service

Dana Gold has extensive experience with non-profit start ups focusing on the needs of vulnerable people from Pittsburgh to South Africa. Dana is a Pittsburgh native and is particularly happy to be serving as a member of the ARYSE Board of Directors. 


Holly Hickling

Academic Community Engagement Advisor, University Honors College of the University of Pittsburgh

Holly Hickling's passion for working with refugees started in Zambia where she worked from 2005-2008, partnering with refugees from Angola, D.R. Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, and Burundi on community projects. She has a B.S. in Mathematics and music minor from Chatham University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Policy and Management from Pitt's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. 


Albert Cheng

President, engineers without borders, pittsburgh professional chapter

Albert is an Engineer currently working for Siemens in New Kensington.  He is also the president for Engineers Without Borders Pittsburgh Professional Chapter.  Albert is passionate about using his technical and business skills to serve non-profits to create a positive impact in the world.


Leigh Solomon Pugilano

Leigh Solomon Pugliano is a social entrepreneur living in Pittsburgh, PA. She is Co-founder and CEO of Straightforward Consulting and Founder and Director of Barrels to Beethoven. 


Kheir Mugwaneza

Program manager, center for inclusion & immigrant health, allegheny health network

Kheir has served refugees from many countries for 10+ years in his roles at Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, Northern Area Multi Service Center (NAMS), and now at Allegheny Health Network . Kheir came to the US as a student in 2000 from Rwanda, graduated from La Roche College with a BS in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration, and received a Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is the recipient of the 2012 Pittsburgh 40 under 40 and the 2015 Pittsburgh Courier Fabulous 40 under 40 Awards. Kheir is the co-chair of the Allegheny County Department of Human Services Immigrants and Internationals Advisory Council, a member of the steering committee of newly created Community Blueprint to assist immigrants in Allegheny County, and was also part of the Mayor’s Welcoming Pittsburgh Advisory Council.


Bridget Barrett

Congressional staff, office of congressman mike doyle at u.s. house of representatives

Bridget Barrett is an Immigration Caseworker for Congressman Mike Doyle (PA-14). After three years with Congressman Doyle’s office working with immigrants and refugees, Bridget knows how important it is to welcome and support these new residents to our region and help them to adjust and feel comfortable in their new home. In addition to her work on the ARYSE Board of Directors, Bridget has been asked to serve on the Young Leaders Council for Planned Parenthood of Western PA and the Young Leaders Council for Adagio Health. Bridget earned her Master’s Degree in Gender, Globalization, and Human Rights from the National University of Ireland in 2009.
